... was very similar to the last two away games I went to. Coventry and Wycombe. We were bullied by aggressive ankle biters and not allowed to play open passing football. DS has to find a way to deal with this situation or we could pay a heavy price in the long term. The number of fools around me that only see the bad in a player is amazing, Davies and Lindsay make a **** of what was basically an unlucky situation and the so called fans berate him for the rest of the game even though he pulled off a blinder to rescue us when they hit the bar; and several other top saves. Personally I find this more depressing then anything else. Also, going by who played in the game last night it appears that we are not likely to be losing any more playing staff; which of course, is good. No doubt I'll be proved wrong! Up the Tarn!
I think he shows promise. Will have no issue with the pace of the game. No concerns about him being shy in the tackle either, I think we may have found a rough diamond here.
I agree. Davies made a couple of dodgy decisions. He came way too far out of his area soon after their first goal when Mackie tried to lob him but made amends with a good block when the ball came off the crossbar and for their second, he should have come to the edge of the area to collect the ball or Lindsay could have hoofed it out and sorted the situation or the ref could have penalised Mackie for barging Davies of the ball (no chance with that referee). He made some great saves to keep Oxford out. Someone further back from me shouted "Davies - yer f**ing useless" in the first half and Davies subtly gave the middle finger. A bloke on my row said "See that? The captain giving the fans the middle finger. Disgusting" then someone right behind me (with a big smile on his face) said "He does reyt. If tha said I were f**ing useless I'd gi thee middle finger an all". Brilliant, but it made me think, why would a fan/supporter shout that at Davies? As for Green, I know he's quick but I didn't think we gave him the ball in the right places. So often he was in line with their defence and, for me, the right diagonal ball would have had him one on one with Eastwood. Karl Robinson thinks the ref let us off?? https://www.oxfordtimes.co.uk/sport...e-seeing-oxford-united-lose-2-0-lead-in-draw/
