Do supporters either individually or in groups have any influence on what the Club does or does the Club just pay lip service to the notion of supporter participation?
Any examples where supporter(s) have influenced buying/selling players, or pricing of tickets, or other aspects of the Club?

It's just my opinion but I think the fans influenced the appointment of Spackman. Look how that turned out.

Quite a bit done by fans like the engagement forum etc around the place. Not in recruitment but things like getting Timerider back and alcohol in Ponty have been some small wins amongst many.

Seem to remember a walkout towards the end of a match at liverpool a few years ago affected pricing policy.

Fans have zero influence, give or take, on footballing matters - signing players, picking the team etc.

With regards to ticket prices, half time entertainment, food and drinks on sale etc then some clubs listen and some don't. Unfortunately, even the ones that listen tend to overcharge.

The biggest influence fans have is on the manager's job. Pressure to sack often starts in the stands. When this grows and becomes louder and fills phone ins and social media, it's very difficult to resist. Chairmen don't always bow to fan pressure but there is certainly a lot of influence.

No influence over the signing/selling of players, perfect example of this I think is if when the directors were sat across the table from Adam Hamill at his house as was reported and were making up their minds, they knew what the fans wanted, but didn’t sign him back up.

Probably do have influence over smaller things but the board ‘ring fence’ what can be influenced and promote these heavily usually as ’projects’ to supporters groups to show how involved the fans are.

I’m not sure if there’s a lot wrong with this or not though, the club has to run effectively and do you want 10000 (possibly/probably different) views of who we should buy/sell being taken into account for example.
