Sublime. Absolutely superb. The performances of Brown, McGeehan, Mowatt and Thiam in midfield are the reason why we could let the 3 other lads go and not replace them. Those 4 are now all "first name on teamsheet" players. And Thiam's got the best arse I've ever seen on a man. It's a work of art.
I also wonder if the time out on loan did him good, the player we have this season looks like a different one to the lad who first came. Full credit to him he certainly looks like one who could easily make the step back up to the championship.
Reason he didn’t start doing so well was due to the manager changing formation and he never saw him as part of the team. Hence why he probably got very disillusioned Leeds are his team and he was suddenly surplus to requirements. A Leeds fan I work with always raved about him and wanted him to do well.
He looked at a different level to anyone else today which is being harsh to Mgheehan who was also outstanding.
He's kicked on since he's been given this current role and stuck with it. He was never a number 10 player which he was at Leeds, and he's certainly not a winger. Going all football manger here, he's playing the Roaming playmaker role, collecting from deep and driving forward whilst helping out defensively.
He's good. But he's nowhere near as good as Butterfield. If you're struggling with midfielders, I have quite a few in my locker who have the ability to pass just like Mowatt.
He was brilliant today, as he has been for much of the season. Seems a strange thing to say after his masterclass of passing and attacking today, but his work rate was immense too. He's exceptionally fit by the look of him and was always back covering, getting a tackle in (as was McGeehan too to be fair). The whole team looks confident around him.
Mowatt definite MOM the lad is pure class, like man against kids at times. Close 2nd though McGeehan how many times did the lad break up play today? Making a very nice partnership nothing fancy just effort and quality. Great Midfield performance today and both weighed in notching the goals
He was sublime today and is the main reason we are where we are in the league. We will do well to hold on to him in August if we don’t go up, which, I think we will by the way
We're lucky to have him as on current form he'd get in half the sides at least in the division above. He was the best midfielder on the park by a mile when we played Burnley which is a huge compliment when they had Premier League regulars in the team. It's been his fitness that's been the difference this season in my opinion. So much energy to get around the pitch for 90 minutes now in addition to the quality.
Saw him play at Shelley for Leeds under 19’s when he was 16 and scored 5, 4 of which were 25 yarders he ran the show and I knew then what a special talent this lad was. He’s got a wand of a left foot and his vision is premier league class. Glad we’ve got him fit and his confidence back just goes to show how good Stendels man management is
