Solid following for probably the least attractive away fixture in the division

Why do they put away fans in the exposed upper tier stand?
I've never been and don't particularly want to but seeing the pictures of away fans in the open top tier always looks so uninviting.

No-one would choose to sit there in winter, so if it wasn't allocated to away fans, they would basically have a three sided ground.

A little disappointed with that if I'm honest, with the team playing as well as we are with a big allocation and a Saturday kick off I thought wed take over a thousand. Not much more that oxford at the moment.

Ill be there pissed wet through anyway no doubt.

It always seems to be empty unless taken by away fans.

It's still only Tuesday and there's always some pay-on-the-dayers.

It's only single tier stand. To be fair it's a decent view, but last time I went it was raining sideways!

My missus pointed out last night that its a long way even for me to drive and I am in South.
Respect to all those travelling down from Barnsley and afar.

My mates ex wife is a Brighton fan. When they were ground sharing with Gillingham she used to go to the 'home' games, and said it was a right trek even from Brighton.

5 mins on train from the inlaws and a free feed for stopping over Saturday night, then Sunday lunch... i'll be making that arduous journey ;-)

Manx Reds are going via Ostend. I think they'll be officially making the longest trek.

I agree. I would put it 23/23 for the away ground I would want to visit in this league. A real trek, a shocking away end and no rivalry/history between our two clubs. Credit to every single person going at the weekend.

It's the one you want at the beginning or end of the season.

Only thing worse than going there in February would be for it to be a Tuesday night game.

I’d have loved to have gone as it’s a ground I haven’t been to and it’s only 2 hours away. Unfortunately I am otherwise occupied and can’t go

He’s pulled a fast one with it though, told people the journey included an overnight ferry from Hull to Rotterdam, then down to Ostende. When deposits were in he said the ferry that day was cancelled or wouldn’t allow football supporters. About 10 of us backed out after that, didn’t fancy the long journey on the coach.
