Go back to January 1st for me id have happily drove him to any club which would take him. For me he wasnt good enough for us and i never rated him. Always wondered how he made squad.
Fast forward to today. One of my favourite players atm. Hes played 3 different positions for us (CF RB RM) and he seems to have found his best. Get him signed up on a Longer deal asap

I think that's true of several of our players. The improvement in performance has been staggering all over the pitch. For me, the following players have all improved out of all recognition from last season: -

    Cavere
    Pinnock
    Williams (Ben)
    Brown
    McGeehan
    Mowatt
    Thiam

I do realise they're playing against a low level of player in League One, but having said that we're so far ahead of most opposition it's almost like we have a Championship quality side already....indeed, many opposition managers say that. I think the improvement is down to hard work by the players and by the quality coaches we have brought in. Well done to all concerned.

Just wonder with Moore injured, if brown will be upfront next game with Woodrow and green will start out wide or bahre.

Really? Then thank god you're not a football coach. A young kid trying to break into a decent team (at this level) and only played a handful of times. You only have to look at the goal he scored at Peterboro to see he's a gifted player.

Brown in a front two with Woodrow and bringing in Bahre from the bench is exactly what I would do if Moore isn't available next weekend. Mike played his part in our 4th with his awkward shot.

Is it time for Victor to step up to the plate? He might never get a better opportunity than in the next days and weeks. Thought he was ahead of Brown at the beginning of the season but he’s a lot of catching up to do now

I agree, assuming Kieffer is resting up at home, I'd give Victor his chance, so that we can keep the same shape.

I think his development was slightly hindered by us trying to convert him into a wing back after impressive early performances in attacking positions. After the goal at Peterborough he didn't get opportunity to play in attack for a while and that can never help a young player's confidence or consistency. His apparent versatility is a great attribute but now we've given him a consistent run in his preferred position, we're seeing real development.

Should Moore be out for a while or god forbid Woodrow gets injured he's the next pick up top for me, ahead of Thiam who's more a wide player and certainly Victor who doesn't seem ready.

Surely we'll just go something like this if Moore isnt ready:

    -----------------Davis------------------
    Cavare, Pinnock, Lindsay Pinillos
    ---------Mowatt McGeehan----------
    Brown ----------Bahre ---------Thiam
    ---------------- Woodrow-----------------

With Thiam/Bahre and Brown a licence to support Woodrow as and when required.

Hey Tyke1, I had hopes that big Vic would step up this season, and yes I think hes done ok and he hasnt let us down at all. But young Jacob really has become an important and vital member of the team hasnt he, and Im really impressed. Well done to the lad. :)

Wow I never thought that. Right from first seeing him at scunny I thought he looked a cracking prospect. Missed a couple of sitters at Coventry early season but didn't let it get him down. Was even played as a loan striker when Moore and Woodrow were out.

It’ll be Bahre that plays up with Woodrow if anyone. Can’t remember the last time Bahre played wide.

At the start of the season I never thought he’d be a regular here & to be honest I don’t think many did, most reckoned we need at least one other striker even after Woodrow signed & I didn’t see anyone suggesting he’d end up first choice for us as a winger.

I expected he’d end up as a hard working squad player for us & if we got promoted he’d end up surplus to requirements.

I started to change my mind after seeing a home game earlier in the season where he played as a lone striker & despite some giving him stick on here I thought he had a good game & showed some potential but never in a million years did I think he’d be getting nominated for player of the month awards as a right winger a few months later.

Hope he keeps his performance levels up & it’s always brilliant to see a local lad who works hard making it with us

With him replacing Potts we probably did need another striker but who knows maybe someone else comes in. It's always easier for players coming into a winning team.
