I'm only hassling you! And that's for potentially encouraging others to post "facts", call them the "truth", and brush aside those who question them upon their source. This wasn't a Red Army Chris who-are-we-buying scenario. This was serious career/potential life threatening stuff. So there should be more responsibility on the poster to be sure about things. Especially when you call it the "truth" (which is something to be sought rather than preferred), and don't entertain questions about where you got your info from. Anyway, I hope it's a lesson learned for us all.....
The only thing I'm encouraging is for people to wait for some facts and cut the two people concerned some slack. By the way, even as a member of Admin, I am allowed to have an opinion.
No I'm saying that the statement that was made on here at the time, that he has a fractured skull, wasn't known to be true. Despite it being stated as true. We can all wait if you like to hear definitively whether he has or he hasn't. I'm not proving any point I have to make, according to whether there's a crack in ol' KM's bonce.
Earlier in this thread you clearly stated that the claim Keiffer has a fractured skull isn't true. You don't know that You're claiming people are posting false information when you have no idea if that's the case and it may be you who is posting false information.
Quote from the OP: "Im obviously very glad he’s okay, but Jesus I clearly need to have words with the person who told me. Apologies for the false info on my part" So that seems to me to be a withdrawal of the original assertion of a "fractured skull". What do you think? Do you think that i have no idea whether they're posting false information when they post a correction as they have, as quoted above? If it helps you, then I can quite happily state that i have no more idea than you as to whether Mr Moore has a fractured skull.
The person who told him might still be correct. It's only been assumed that the person was wrong after the vague statement from the club.
Bloody hell the above isn’t half all in poor taste. Let’s just hope he’s ok as more info comes out and stop the weird point scoring?
No. It's been stated as wrong by the bloke who broke the news. Unless he's told us the truth to kick off with, and then decided to apologise for telling it.
Balls to the rest of the thread this is what astounds me the most here, they honestly could only tell you to take paracetamol for a fractured skull? Seriously? I believe you but that just sounds astonishing to me.
So basically... we don't know the extent of Moores injury, and as such, it's impossible to know whether any source of information was right or wrong...
No. The subsequent validation of his injury no longer corroborates the original source, unless the radiographer is prepared to provide an affidavit. And even then, we'd have to check it thoroughly. And his background.
Agree this is the worst thread in months and we've had a few that's not been pleasant reading. Thank God the lad is up and about. Could have been a career ending freak injury. Now let's concentrate on getting automatic, we've got a full squad. Please though remember he might not be the same player for a few weeks. Only natural he might stand off a bit. Seen rugby union lads do the same. He'll be a massive hit in the championship next year, having Woodrow along side him causes defences to meltdown. We've not had a pairing like this since Wilko and Hendrie. Albeit in league 1, for now.
This. Not that ti There's nothing else they can do. It's not a limb that has movement. It's a crack in a bone that stops hurting after a few days. There are different types of fractured skull, but it's the complications from that which are the problem. With most people the blow to your head causes swelling inside your cranium which in turn causes concussion. When the swelling subsides you're fine and left with an ache in your head. Occasionally there are complications as Ian Hume will testify to but they're rare
