Cant say I note down the times I’ve seen it happen for times like this but the penalty incident last saturday is one example. I think both are pretty comfortable on the ball, Lindsay tends to try a killer ball more while Pinnock keeps it simple.
Not the worst ratio ever for killer balls played, not sure its that high though. My point is, we tend to **** about at the back a lot, Mowatt included but Lindsay looks to play forward when possible. Id like to see more of that from others.
I don't mind paying if you can point me in the right direction. I trust you when you say it's a fact and not an exaggeration.
Here's a spreadsheet file for Liam Lindsay. Don't worry it's a safe file to download. https://ufile.io/xdlxb I've just rechecked and his long pass completion rate is actually 60% for this season, 50% overall including past seasons.
No problem, it's actually quite interesting because the stats are quite in depth and show some things he does better than I realised and some he does worst. Same goes with all our players
Ah the token penalty which was never a pen that one? I've seen pinnock knock balls from defence to the opposing half, 40 yards and hit players feet. Like already said his ratio with these killer balls isn't the best. Lindsay is good I'm sure he will have a good career he needs to work on cutting out the little silly mistakes the one this weekend that almost cost us the one where every one blamed Davies but he tried shielding a ball from miles out when he should have put it in row z.
My point wasnt whether it was a penalty, it was Pinnocks positioning wasnt the best, hence why he was the wrong side of his man.
long looping header their man looks like he does pinnock for pace but pinnock recovers minimal contact not sure where you think he should be positioned.
I don't think it was a pen it was just outside my post was just a piss take as a few on this thread build Lindsay up as the 2nd coming and slate cavare. Lindsays challenge at turf moor was far more stupid than cavares on the edge of the box. Vydra was going no where he flew in and cleaned him out. If it was cavare who got caught in possession yesterday causing a 1 on 1 and not Lindsay people would have had the pitch forks out. Instead people are blaming mowatt for passing him the ball. If cavare tried shielding a from miles away from davo instead of putting it in the stands people would have blamed cavare for the Oxford goal not Davies.
