I believe it's around this time of the season that the players get to vote for the player and team of the season for their respective leagues.

How many Barnsley players - if any - do we think will be present in the League One team of the season?

It would also be interesting to find out which players from other clubs have impressed us and who you think will be in the final team.

I haven't seen enough games to give serious consideration but I would hope we get at least 2 or maybe 3 in the team with Pinnock and Mowatt (I suspect) the likely candidates closely followed by Moore or Woodrow.

I'd expect Davies, Pinnock and Mowatt for sure and it wouldn't surprise me if Moore is in contention because he's been such a tough opponent.

Mowatt and Pinnock ought to be, imagine Moore would've been too if his season wasn't cut short. Davies maybe too given we've conceded the least goals in the division (so far)

would be good to see a Yorkshire team of the season, from all the leagues.

From Luton I would reckon Justin, Bradley, Pearson and Collins would be in the reckoning, I'd personally add McCormack as well but don't think he would be picked

That lad that tore us a new one for Plymouth would get in although his name escapes me.

It’s hard to say because I don’t know which positions other teams players have excelled in.

For me Mowatt, Moore & Pinnock have probably been our top 3 performers so I’d see them as most likely.

Lamieres or something, he was brilliant. Also very impressed with their massive goal keeper Macey.

The 4 players that stick in my mind from the opposition ive seen are the two I mentioned and the CB for peterbrough Taffazoli or something, brilliant that day him.

And funnily enough, Oxford goalkeeper on the opening day Eastwood, conceded 4 but I was impressed with how he commanded his area and he genuinely had a good game.

I'd go with our top 3 players to date:
    Pinnock 61
    Mowatt 59
    Davies 49
Moore has been a nuisance to all opponents and has the goal threat to boot, but missed too many matches (probably the only reason he's not in our top 3).

Same as this for me but wouldn't be surprised to see Davies make the team as he has conceded fewest goals in the league so far this season.

I'd be surprised if Davies wasn't in the team. Pinnock, Lindsay and Mowatt must have a good chance too.

Interesting to see that Woodrow hasn't been mentioned by many as being in your top 3. Looking at his goals return I thought he would have been right there. Probably shows how well the rest of your team have played.

For Sunderland it would be our keeper McLaughlin, McGeady and Flannagan, however if Onien had played more he would probably have ran away with it for us.

Agree with that, Spender, but he is lying 7th in the BBS player of season table.
I'm surprised there hasn't been more support for Lindsay, given he's in 6th place and is marmite on BBS

Woodrow blows hot and cold. I would say in a good 25% of games he's fairly anonymous. Brilliant when he's firing but doesn't offer the team much when he doesn't score. Oppositon players aren't going to pick him in their team of the season from those anonymous games. Moore on the other hand is a handful even when he doesn't score. I would imagine most League 1 centre backs would find him tough to play against..

Davies, Pinnock, Lindsay & Mowatt in with a shout.

Moore & Woodrow injuries will prevent them from being in the running.

Pinnock should certainly be in there, as he is head & shoulders the best defender in the division. First time I saw him play, (vs Morecambe last season), I knew he would be the next John Stones. He needed to build his strength & get a run of games. This season he has shown all his potential & more.
