Wonder if we’ll get that overturned like Sunderland seem to always do

We have to, he’s missing the Sunderland one as it is, it’s wether we wanna risk him missing donny too.

They have to overturn it he hasn’t touched the lad, earlier in the game their lad went through the back of cavare arguably a dangerous tackle also....... nothing from the ref. Inconsistent as always.

Neil.said it was red so I'm not sure it would get overturned. Sunderland will be laughing their heads off!

Funny thing is Redders wouldn’t have finished a game if this sort of tackle was a red in his day.

Playing devils advocate here.. but Ive just seen it. He did get the ball and didnt touch their player, BUT his foot was knee high! Youre absolutely playing with fire if you do that, if you miss the ball and make any kind of contact...
I'd still appeal it though and have Stendel give him a strong word on the sideline.

I really don't think it's a red. Whenever I've seen players sent off previously when they haven't touched the opposition player, it's when they've jumped in with two feet. This was one footed, he got the ball and yes his foot was high, because the ball was high. If you want to kick the ball you've kind of got to put your foot where the ball is located in 3D space.

Nothing to lose from an appeal surely?

Yes, if it is a frivolous appeal, could be a longer ban.

Agreed yes you have. But a sliding lunge with your studs at knee height? Way too reckless and dangerous. Stay on your feet, experienced players know this.
This is what I touched on a couple of month ago. We go for promotion, we need to be more streetwise and play up to the refs and try make the opposition look undisciplined.

I believe if you fail you can have the ban extended

It's because he was on his arse when he did it. Studs up. Reckless. Brainless. Red.

He should not have given the ref a decision to make. It was reckless and that is the new ruling whether we like it or not. Hopefully the lad learns from it. We were fortunate that the ref didn't give a red for McGeehan's stamp on their left back.

Wasn’t out of control and didn’t connect but studs up. If every time this happens have a couple off every game.
Their captain should have had at least three bookings and don’t get one knocked Green all over!!
    Standard so poor.
Think McGeehan might not have heard last though of standing on their player as seem officials got it in for us think might be hit retrospective - hope not but did look a bit naughty but sometimes camera angle looks worse than what actually happened
