Love that - thread in the first 10 mins saying it was scintillating stuff then this. Not that I don't believe you as the Twitter feed seems to agree. Really do need to find a way of breaking these shithouses down at Oakwell, we seem to be able to do it more away from home.
In fairness the first 10 mins we were tearing them apart with one touch stuff. We then went off the boil somewhat . AS are 'spoiling' and timewasting and Barnsley are getting frustrated.
Green having a blinder and terrifying them Green caused the panic in their defence for the OG . Looks a real handful not just with his pace but comfortable on the ball when under pressure
Happy to be proved wrong, but let’s be reyt, the majority of the first half was dire. Stray passes everywhere.
Definitely need Green on Tuesday. Judging by what Sunderland fans were saying on their forums, they don't do well against teams that run at them, and we've been ruthless on the break recently. With the addition of Green along with Cavaré, Woodrow etc. Hopefully we can shake them up and get the 3 points.
Don't think the blustery wind (not there but watching on iFollow so can only go by the commentators comments) has helped. The fast one touch style we play doesn't always come off, if it did we would score on every break! AS have run their socks off doubling up on Woodrow Green and Thiam. I have said it before but our high intensity one touch moves passing tires opposition team midfielders and defenders more than the Reds. Be interesting to see if AS can keep up that doubling up and at the same time try to create their own chances. Somehow I doubt it and would expect the Reds to get a few more. That said Football is a "funny old game"
Two points gained on Luton, two points further ahead of Sunderland, Green with his first start, Styles with his debut and another clean sheet. Smashing afternoon.
