...I hope the lads (and I am sure they will) treat it as just another game against another League One team. For all their history, big crowds , large stadium fans talking them up etc. Sunderland are a Division One team for a reason. They just need to get their heads down keep the confidence high and play the same pressing game they have been doing. We have enough to beat Sunderland as they don't look any great shakes. My one big concern is that the Oakwell faithful don't get up tight and quiet if thing are not going to well which tends to happen. Last thing we want to hear are the North stand chants! Worse still if we go a goal down I hope some don't start getting on the players backs. The lads have more than enough determination to overcome any early setbacks (unlike some teams we have had in the past). Fans nervousness CAN transmit to the players. Let's see the fans make lots of noise and really get behind the lads for 90 minutes. I wish I could be there instead of watching on iFollow!! YOU REDDDDDDSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
Going one darn tends to get the crowd going more at home this season with the confidence the fans have in this team/squad.
the reds. cha cha cha cha cha cha cha cha cha the reds! grest day of sporting action with Chelts and then the Promotion chasing Tykes!
well we hammered them 3-0 last year so nothing to worry about playing the big club - they are no bigger than quite a lot of clubs we regularly play in the Championship so I dont see any need for concern on that score
Even though he's got key men missing, Jack Ross gives the impression he's got the replacements to get the right result. I would have been surprised if he had said anything different to be honest. We don't need anyone making predictions. We simply need to maximise the advantage that being at home can provide, as well as our fans getting behind the lads from the very first whistle. If we can hit our stride from the off, I truly believe we will be OK. https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/17492890.its-garbage-ross-feels-cats-are-ignored/
