Denying the truth has got us in this mess. I don’t feel that I am deluded at all - we are living in times where the truth doesn’t seem to matter! It would have been re-run! That is fact - to deny this is frankly deluded
A massive amount will be either dups or from bots, not doubting that a large number will also be genuine though.
Unfounded claim in reality. Large parts of the populations across Europe are also wanting to leave the EU. It is as split as the UK in terms of whether the EU is worth remaining or leaving. Even the nationalist movement in Germany is gaining momentum again. Things in the next 10 yrs or so are just going to get worse I reckon.
I’m in Cinque Terra , loads of different nationalities, all think what’s happening is a joke , when an elderly couple from Slovenia break out in hysterical laughter after saying they are addicted to the Parliament Show , you know we’re are literally a laughing stock ..... place is fantastic though
Mine's from an Irish one. Does that make me hooky or just concerned about what my pension will be worth abroad?
There is a nationalist/populist surge across Europe. Have you seen the state of some of those parties and what they stand for?
I don’t think nationalism is on the rise tbh it’s just mainstream people don’t vote and more and more are not making the effort . Whether it’s lazy or apathy , boredom or lack of faith in politicians etc etc . Imo voting should be compulsory with options of non of the above etc . We can all argue people came out to vote for this or didn’t turn out to vote for this etc but the only way to get true democracy is compulsory voting .
Meanwhile a cat video on youtube has pulled in over 5 million hits. Just as relevant. PS. Are you on petition watch haha.. Surprised you haven't put a live stream up yet..
I think that the extremes on both sides are being catered to by political parties and they are also making the most noise. There is no voice for the centrists so they are quiet.....
It is on rise and this has been evidenced through the ballot box throughout europe. There is a voting apathy no doubt and a striking example of this is brexit. I never believed that the brexiteers would have a hope. I remember telling my concerned daughter this at the time. Lesson learned.
That link doesn't work for me so can't comment on its content. May was a remain supporter and this is well documented (a simple google search will provide hordes of documentary evidence in the affirmative). She had/has many reservations regarding the EU however but campaigned to "stay' nonetheless. As a socialist i feel able to point this out despite being opposed to her wider political ideology. I would hazard a guess that many conservatives voted to remain just as many people (sadly) voted 'out' in traditional labour supporting communities.
