To help this run in I think we need a few changes to help maintain our top two position.

Every member of the squad is giving their all but few are not quite ready for this stage of the season to maintain a promotion charge and a couple are a bit off form and may need to be dropped for a game or two to give them a new boost.

Thiam and Bahre are not reaching the levels at present that they should be and Vic, Green and J Williams are just not ready, they will come good but its a bit early for them.

I would like to see Fryers experience come in, give Styles and Hedges a chance. With such a thin squad with the injuries and players leaving in January there isn't much option for Stendel, any thoughts.

Think we have to keep playing thiam he can give you a goal out of nothing and pick out a pass(put one on a plate for Williams at donny) listening to the game today sounds like he should have scored 1st half but bahre hardly got a mention all game always seems better off the bench.

We need to trust Stendel's own judgement.

Seems to me as though he picks certain players (Thiam, Bahre, Hedges, Styles, Brown, McGeehan, Williams B and J, Victor, Green) and Stendel doesn't know what kind of performance he's going to get in return.

So it gives him a job to do during the match - changing it if necessary.

Has anyone ever heard Stendel talk in depth about our style of play btw, now he can speak the lingo?

The squads doing just fine at present, also Thiam is a must start. The others you mention just need a run of games to get better. It can't be easy to get thrown in to start especially with our high tempo. Yet we keep going and remain unbeaten

I just expected a bit more from Thiam and Bahre but we would be weakening an already weakened side by dropping them. We have definitely been lucky to remain unbeaten over the last couple of games and thought today Mcgheehan and brown were of pace following their enforced break, as well as Thiam, Woodrow and Bahre not posing as big of a threat as they can. Cavare at times was excellent today as were Walton, pinnock and Lyndsay.

It shows how big a win today was and if we can get back to the attacking threat we had previously then Sunderland and Portsmouth will never catch us.

Could be good time to give Hedges more game time. His Wales performance should’ve given his confidence a real boost.

I don’t think we were lucky at Donny, our keeper made some good saves, he’s being doing that all season. We could/ should’ve had a penalty and their keeper made a couple of saves. Yesterday we were lucky in that on a couple of occasions they failed to find the target when through on goal, the rest of their shots were saves/clearances. I don’t count that as luck just players doing their job. I agree we need to be better up top though.

Thiam needs to start now Moore is out, but always said hes better off the bench when opposition players tire. His presence on the pitch offers more protection defensively (not by him tracking back but his threat). Jordan Green is not strong enough and looks out of his depth..but hope he proves me wrong.

I dont think in my time watching the reds have i had as much faith in our manager so im happy with whatever team he puts out. He also is not scared of making a sub or two!
