Here a story to all the people on this forum. Who keeps saying that Thurnscoe Red is a Rotherham fan or a Donny fan Well last December I was in my way home from Orlando..well I was sat with on the plane with my missus and my 2 year old grandson.there was one seat next to our lass empty.then this lad came up to the seat so me being me says to lad in my broad Rotherham accent. I wouldn’t sit there if I was you . The lad says why not I say because me and my missus will be arguing all the way home so you won’t get any sleep,All of sudden the lad says to me you talk just like people from Barnsley. Anyway we got chatting and he says to my are you a Barnsley fan . Before I could answer our lass says yes he is .The lad ask me if I knew is best friend who played for Barnsley I asked him who his friend was it turned out to be Jacob Brown. It turned out that the lad in question was in the same team.then he said he knew Jame Bree and mason Hallgate , I asked him out he knew these lads he told me there all played in the same team at Barnsley. But the lad didn’t make as a full time footballer because of injuries, but he got a scholarship teaching football over in the USA as we were talking he told me he was going out for drink with James bree for his birthday in Birmingham..anyway the other week I took my grandson to the Audi dealer in Wakefield.well I couldn’t make this up Jacob Brown was there so I had my grandson photo taken with him , Then I told Jacob this story about his friend and he knew this lad very very well grown up together ,, I know you don’t believe me but it’s a true story ,, C O Y R
Sometimes it’s a small world mate. I was talking to a Donny fan in the Belle Vue bar at our recent game, and it turned out he knew a former workmate of mine from Askern.
What was the lad called? We’ve had a few who spent time in our academy that have ended up in the States. Conor Branson was the first I remember
Django Sorry mate I did know but I forgot but Jacob Brown told me he was from Morley if that’s any help
FFS, a few on here know DD & know he's a Barnsley fan & has been fo many many years, Barnsley through & through, end of.
I read the Wife of Bath at A Level. There began a life of drunken debauchery. There are worse things.
Never read that one. Do remember the prologue to Wife of Bath being longer than her tale. And that she was a bit of a baudy sort. Incisive analysis right there.
