And we'll be promoted automatically. Play like we did yesterday and we'll win our remaining fixtures.

We weren't great but the incisive football that created the chances for the goals is too good for most teams in this division. We're no longer as mean at the back (we're not alone in that, look at all the high scoring fixtures yesterday) but we're creating more chances than we're conceding.

We'll be favourites for each of our remaining fixtures. Doesn't mean it will happen but there's every reason to believe ..

We need to make the top two as you couldnt call it in the playoffs, its a strong top 6 for this league.

Agree that if we win our four games we'll be automatically promoted.

Portsmouth's next two are the very same 'banana skins' that us and Sunderland have just had, namely Burton away and Coventry at home, before their trip to Sunderland - if they get nine points out of nine from that then fair play to them.

Famous last words but Sunderland always seem to have a draw in them and have a couple of difficult fixtures coming up at home to Doncaster and away to Peterborough, then the Portsmouth game.

If we were to win our next two games we could conceivably win promotion by beating Blackpool at home I think. That would need Pompey to draw or lose at Burton, Sunderland to draw or lose at home to Donny and then Sunderland and Pompey to draw when they play.
Doubt it’ll work out that way but would be great if it did.

No not if Pompey win all there's, They'll finish a point above us.

To be realistic if we win 3 and draw 1 then we'd have a 92 point season... if any other club bet us too promotion on that points tally, then i'd doff mi cap and say fair play and well done.

Yep.. don't fancy em.. Charlton hitting their best form of the season and already lost their. Donny played us off the field twice and a choice between Pompey and Sunderland... er sorry, no thanks top two or bust for me..

Yeah if we win all four we need Sunderland and Portsmouth to both drop points, so if they draw against each other we can't be stopped if we don't drop anymore points.

With them both playing the midweek after we play Blackpool i think it's very unlikely we could go up before we play Bristol. Sunderland losing yesterday was massive for us, Pompey have a tough run in, once again it comes down to us getting the job done. The performance yesterday was light years ahead of the previous 4 or so.

Don't forget Charlton, their run in looks gentle to me, very winnable fixtures. If day their combination of games is the easiest of all the club's involved.

Yes but we have to slip up twice for Charlton to pass us if we do that we'll finish 4th or 5th anyway

Well I don’t think Donny played us the park both games. Why should we fear a team that hasn’t beaten us this season. The play- offs are a lottery, I get that it’s nice to go into them with some form and if that’s the case and if Pompey or Charlton are in there, then they would be the teams to fear. I don’t think we’ll fear anyone and would be confident of winning the play- offs. Remember Huddersfield fans booking their Cardiff Hotels and transport following their first leg win against us in 2006?
