That career ending tackle on Steve Davis. Spencer chasing down a nowhere ball. By corner flag, end we were defending, first half. High & reckless. Hoops already 2 goals up.. we were there other end of pitch away end.. dirtiest, most unnecessary foul I ever saw. Spencer wasn't a dirty player, probably trying to prove something to Chelsea. Broke Steve's leg: finished his career. Then went to batter us with hat trick . lovely person* Few tykes remember the crap stuff about that season. It weren't all pretty.. we had Ari & Adie, But really felt for Steve Davis. He was having a good season til then..
I was only 10 but I remember everything about that day as vividly as I remember what I had for dinner today. I also remember crying when we lost 4-2 to Portsmouth thinking we'd fvcked it, but actually looking back we were in a lot better shape at that point than I remember. I still have a framed signed photo of Clint somewhere

Such a silly tackle on Davis. Finished his career. Spencer never apologied did he? It wasn't defensive, it happened by our corner . The only QPR player to give a toss, was Trevor Sinclair.. Spencer got a hat trick that day.Lorded it up when got the third. broke the leg of a honest, decent footballer. Finished his career. Angry now, am shutting up..
