Well done Daniel and our coaches and of course our squad for a memorable Season. And thanks to our fans who have played their part, especially those who travel to every game away. You deserve our utmost admiration. Thanks to Chien, Paul and the board for keeping the faith and restoring us back to where we rightly belong after last years disappointment. I've got a lump in my throat tonight. My grandson Oliver was allowed to stay up to watch proceedings tonight. He's the little lad who was Match announcer on Junior Take over day against Shrewsbury. Apparently he's been sat there all night with his home shirt, Barnsley scarf and baseball cap on following proceedings on iFollow. At full time I got a call to hear his delightful voice shouting " Grandad we are up. I can't believe it." He was so excited bless him. That's what it's all about for me. Get the young 'uns interested. Took his Dad to his first game in 1987 and now our Grandson is attending some thirty two years on. Come on you beautiful Reds. Let's hope we can better Lutons result on Saturday and win the title.
Daniel Stendel an adopted South Yorkshireman. Great achievement, promotion in his first EFL campaign. We need to keep him. Who knows, he could become one of most ever legendary coaches. Playing against his mate Winkler next season. How odd will that feel.?
An unbelievable night. The super reds have bounced back at the first attempt, something I've never seen them do before. I think it's going to take ages for the enormity of it to sink in, it does when I've actually been there, never mind when we haven't even played. To make it more surreal, I was out taxiing the wife at the crucial moment. Dare we dream of being crowned champions on Saturday?
