Automatic promotion really is. It's a pleasure just basking in it. No need to worry about a Play Off campaign. The time to think about next season, or any potential new signings/players leaving, is for another day. For me this is the time to 'smell the roses', as it were. These occasions happen so rarely as a Barnsley fan, you have to revel in them, take it all in and enjoy the experience.
Many thanks to these players for making this such a fantastic season. A thoroughly deserved achievement, as, in my totally unbiased(!) opinion, we've been a better team than nearly everyone else. We've not had the benefit of Premier League parachute payments to aid us, unlike some!
Finally, a huge THANK YOU to Daniel Stendel for your efforts, abilities and downright likeability & decency. To turn our club round after last season's debacle, improving all our players (some beyond recognition), whilst living in a different country and learning a new language is truly remarkable.
    Thank you Daniel.

I've always said you have to experience the lows to enjoy the highs.Last seasons relegation was hard to take but this more than makes up for it.I think starting my BFC journey in league 4 put me in good stead to appreciate times like these. Some of the generation who only saw Championship and Premiership football were spoilt in a way because they never had any lows to compere with. A massive congratulations to everybody who has made this a season to remember. Not forgetting Patrick Cryne the man who made this possible. This ones for you Patrick.RIP

It's not sunk in properly yet.
I thought it would go to the last match especially when Portsmouth were coming up on the rails.
I said I wouldn't celebrate until we were 4 points clear of third.
    We will finish as champions.
I'd like to thank Rotherham for keeping our seat warm.
We're back home and where we belong.
( A few more years in the top flight wouldn't have gone a miss but you can't have everything).
Charlton will come up via the playoffs now. They've been moving quietly amongst the shadows. But don't rule out Peterborough if they make the playoffs.
Finally a massive thank you to Dan the man and the team for a hugely enjoyable season.
Sometimes you need to take a step back, rebuild and gain that momentum to surge forwards.

Well said that man. I can save my pennies now, as I don’t have to fly back for the playoffs. Although another day out at Wembley is always fun. I’m just waiting for the fixtures to be released, so that I can book a flight for our first home game.
