    Their fan Spender who's posted on here this season has been exceptionally graceful. I'm sure he represents the majority. They, like any forum, have a percentage of absolute f***wits though.
    As for Morpeth Mackem, he's got the brain and maturity of a 13 year old. I'd love to stick him in his own parallel universe where Sunderland get shafted by "the likes of" Fleetwood and Accrington every week.........oh hang on ;)

    I have to say it. My brother in law who supports them, phoned last night to
    convey his heartiest and most genuine congratulations. He's a great lad
    and is loved and respected by every member of our family. Wor' John is
    a " gent" and a sound bloke in every sense of the word, even if he keeps
    referring to my Sis as " Kath Man."

    Most Sunderland fans come from a not too dissimilar working- class background to most Barnsley fans. Most have a sense of community which is generated by a love for their proud club, just like Barnsley. And, just like Barnsley, there are some complete idiots who post drivel. However, we should show a bit of courtesy and respect for football fans who in many respects are just like us.
