Liverpool have played really well but haven't taken the chances, Mane, Milner and Salah should have all scored.
Not sure about that. Liverpool played well, but besides Salah missing that sitter, they didn't really look like scoring That said, Messi really was the difference
Seconded. Liverpool looked fluid and generally good, but almost seemed afraid of putting the ball in the box. You can't score without shooting and they never really got in the positions to do that.
Milner tipped around the post, Milner straight down the keepers throat when either side and its in, Salah tipped round the post, Mane sitter.... Barca are clinical these days with not so much possesion has the Pep days.
I've felt with Barca in these champions league games that they always have another gear or 2 as and when needed
Don't think Salahs shot was even on target was it? Milner should have done better but Barca quite feasibly could have scored another 2 or 3 with some of their counters
I'd agree with the commentators and say that was never a 3-0 game, hard done by Liverpool if they could have put away those chances.
They were but I thought they were wasteful with one or two really good breaks later on Dembele massively messed up when Messi squared it to him at the death, Suarez overran it, again when played it by Messi. Was a great watch in fairness and good to see both teams going for it
Does he? I’d say the opposite, took a Dortmund side that had won nothing for nearly 20 years to a couple of Bundesliga’s
He was the difference, but lost all respect I once gave him after his rolling about and waving imaginary cards....
Opinions and all that but I felt Liverpool huffed and puffed but rarely got anywhere. For me Barca allowed them to play in front of them and didn’t allow space at the edge of their box, stayed compact and pounced on the break. I thought they drew Liverpool in. Risky - it could have backfired and perhaps ought to have done. Strange game in a way, 3-0, it might easily have been 5-0 or 3-3 though on another day. Klopp got the side wrong for me as well, Wijnaldum is no good that far up and they missed Alexander-Arnold’s pace and endeavour down the right (though he may have struggled defensively more than Gomez). Tie is over though, Liverpool could win next week and handsomely but they won’t keep a clean sheet.
