Now claims he is the owner of the club and has taken control. As such he will take his place as owner in the Directors box for this weekends game v Forest.

    Madness.

I really believe that out of all the clubs who have been through Admin, we are the only ones who came out of it and learned our lessons. Thank the Lord for proper 'fit and proper' owners.

Now let's continue to push on and enjoy.

Not quite the only ones, but many continue to make the same money losing mistakes season after season and carry on going...

I wonder what the precedent is in terms of penalties for not fulfilling fixtures?

The only thing I can think of is a points deduction next season? (if they don't get one anyway, through Administration)

A fine won't do much good, when they can't even pay the players.

I don't know. It has happened before but not sure how recently.
The thing is, for the multiplicity of things they've done to take the p**s out of the league and their fellow clubs, they should be looking at a massive points deduction next season. Assuming they last that long.

    From the EFL Rules:

    31

Penalty for Non-Fulfilment of Fixture Obligations

    31.1

Any Club failing to fulfil its fixture obligations in respect of any match under the jurisdiction of The League on the appointed date or dates or causing The League to suspend any fixture shall be deemed guilty of misconduct, unless the circumstances giving rise to such failure are outside the control of the Club and could not have been reasonably foreseen or reasonably anticipated and remedied prior to the match. Every Club shall carry out regular and appropriate maintenance and checks to ensure that its safety certificate is not suspended or withdrawn.

    31.2

The Club failing to fulfil its fixture or causing The League to suspend such fixture shall be liable to pay compensation for any expenses actually incurred by the opposing Club as a direct result of the failure or suspension. The amount of compensation will be at the discretion of the Board who will consider every such case on its merits. The Board may refer the amount of compensation to be paid to the Disciplinary Commission dealing with the misconduct by the Club failing to fulfil its fixture or causing The League to suspend the same.

    Three match ban for McGeehan

Seemingly Bolton’s game against Forest is only going ahead because the PFA have loaned them the money to pay the players wages. Whats that all about?

If they can't complete their fixtures this season, it makes you wonder how Bolton can claim they'll be able to fulfil them next season, either.

Does that mean they have to pay compo in addition to any punishment the Disciplinary Commission dish out?

Taking into account the length of time these financial issues have been going on at Bolton, there ought to be major consequences for their actions. For me, they should be ejected from the EFL.

Pfa have an obligation to ensure their members get paid.

The PFA loan will get paid in full as itll be repaid from central funding ie TV
    money etc in the summer.

Time is running out for them. Journos are saying that for whatever reason someone is delaying putting them in admin, if it's not done today then with Monday being a bank holiday that means they can only apply to the court on Tuesday.

But and its a big but, they have their winding up hearing on Wednesday would the court accept an admin application knowing how long this has dragged out for and would a county court go against the High Court and issue the admin order.

I would say its looking increasingly likely they will fold next Wednesday

Didn't blackpool fail to play their last game of the season a couple of years ago. Think they got it started and then the crowd swarmed onto the pitch and refused to leave in protest against Oyston, so the game got abandoned. Can't recall seeing that they ever replayed it. Could be wrong though.

This is different circumstances, Boro claimed they had too many 1st team players missing through injury even though they could have played kids.

This is purely down to moneys owed to security staff, emergency services, St John's and other match day staff.

They are refusing to supply their services so the Safety Advisory Group have pulled the safety certificate

You've gotta know when to hold em' know when to fold 'em. Badoobi doo... No sympathy from me. Having said that if they'd been penalised last season we might not have been relegated and still have the man from Del Monte in charge and wouldn't have witnessed one of our most scintillating seasons.
