Anyone see that 2nd goal of theirs?. Thank goodness they didn't survive on the back of that awful example of bad sportsmanship.
It was unsporting but the Plymouth keeper should be up for an Oscar after that acting performance . He was injured not disputing that at all but the way he was limping off at the end was bizarre imo. I’m one that thinks if a players down play should carry on and trainer allowed on pitch as in rugby. Ref can use discretion if he thinks it’s bad or a head injury etc . However an injury to a goalkeeper is different imo and play should be allowed to pause , he had the ball and should have been allowed to pause play without putting it into touch imo.
1 of those that will leave plymouth fans wondering what if? 30 mins left and would have needed another 2 more goals to stay up, not sure if they were pushing for more goals or protecting their lead but that disgraceful act by scunny coupled with southend's late winner must be a bitter pill to swallow, certainly been an entertaining league one this season
Sadly for them, you reap what you sow. You can't expect to sack a Manager ( Graham Alexander) in March 2018 and then appoint three new ones during the space of a mere 12 months. It been proved at many a Club, to stand any chance of moulding a decent squad a Manager/ Coach needs to be given a decent amount of time to achieve that aim.
Watch Hammill's reaction when Scunny scored their first (top of the picture) Not a reaction of someone with any thought for the club
40 second mark for those who haven't seen it..... He didn't react like someone who plans on being there next season. Maybe he's lost his passion? He did well to keep the over hit cross in play for them to score from it though. Hope they come straight back up. It's a good away day.
He most likely won't have a choice been there next season, he hasn't done much for scunny 1 goal 0 assists in 15 games. He is on a 2 year deal so unless a club pays for him if imagine he will be playing in league two.
I think their ground is a complete pit. Awful view, no proper pubs nearby, terrible atmosphere. Granted, the only time I've been was the 1-0 FA Cup defeat under Robins. It's probably much more fun when the weather and football are good.
