I do wonder if an option might be Dougall sitting behind Mowatt and McGeehan with Brown roving around either flank or behind the front two. I still see Brown ending up a striker, he seems to have a real scorer's instinct.

That’s what I’ve been thinking. In league 1 we’ve been able to attack teams more but in the championship we might have to be a bit more solid in the middle of the park and that would involve Dougall in there. A midfield 3 of Mowatt, McGeehan and Dougall would be good I think but I’d slightly worry about the lack of width.

Exactly. I'd been trying to work out if you could play with just one winger. Maybe I shouldn't bother trying for my UEFA coaching badges!

I’m the same! Maybe we should leave it to Herr Stendel and co who seem to know what they’re doing.

We need either one or two defensive midfielders in there.
We can't go gung ho in the Championship, or we'll end up conceding 80+ goals like Rotherham and getting relegated.
Our defence has been good this season but don't let that fool you. We've given loads of chances away that better teams will put away.
