Am i only one who thought it was embarrassing. Weather didnt help but there was no atmosphere at all. Even when Mowatt and Brown and Woodrow tried to get songs going it was still dead
Not really, it was alright - for the kids more than owt (with a bit of blue for dads) it was cold and damp l wasnt expecting a match atmosphere.
Very professional is Christine. Once had a chat in the bar with her at the Studio on Kirkstall Road, Leeds. We'd taken a party to see a live programme being transmitted. She looks very attractive on TV, but she is beautiful when you see her close up. The young lady who does the weather Kerrie Gosney was there as well. She seemed a grand lass.
Have we always had the open top bus and town hall jobby? I've never been to one despite seeing half a dozen promotions. Did we have them back in the Clarke/Hunter era?
Because you asked so nicely..... No Seriously though, always nice to know there's others who appreciate the lovely Christine
Never had a problem with Jason before but tonight he was crap. Like he’d totally run iut of ideas. So let’s get the crowd to say You Reds. Music was awful. Who plays “Tears in Heaven” before a celebration?!! Need to give Dave Cooper the mic.
I for one - stepped out of the pub for 5 minutes - then stepped back in. But at least I attended. Worst day they could have chosen. Worst time they could have chosen. And unfortunately the worst weather in May for many years. I’ve been to promotion celebrations before - this one was ok under the circumstances.
you know what its like on a Tuesday night game at Oakwell,so a wet Wednesday was not going to be any better ,everyone tired from work or school, it was blummin freezing too,was OK thought the lads showed what a great bunch they are, not one seemed fed up to be there, even though they all be ready for their holidays,Mamma came over as a genuine lovely bloke with a love for the town
Problem was, the players had partied with a number of fans on Tues night, then again on Sat night, then again Mon night for awards, and then finally tonight. So by the end, they’ve prob had enough - and so have fans to an extent. Tonight was about the kids more than anything - weather not great though.
Couldn’t make tonight due to work but have attended the last couple & enjoyed them. Hope everyone had a good time
Thiam is a lovely guy - genuine, humble and likes the town. Always has time for the fans and tries his best on the pitch. He has his good and bad games, but a decent goal and assist return for a winger for the season.
