Yeah, I know in terms of their history and position within Czech football they are. However their average attendance is 12,000 and I doubt there's anythink like the same money kicking around in the Czech league as the Championship. I could be wrong but I think we'd have the edge on Slavia. Derby is another matter though.
Transfer fee of £4 million being banded about in their parts for any potential suitors. Linked to the price another defender left for recently - but that's a bit like some of us saying we should be demanding £10 million for Pinnock. Lecce scouts also watching so unlikely to be just a three horse race.
Slavia made the round of 16 in the Europa league and won their league this year. They're bankrolled by a Chinese energy firm so they probably have the money. Can't image Lecce does, however.
He's got two years left on his deal and his highest evaluation has been 540k so maybe a million with sell on clause might get him.
You're basing that from a stats website. If you look at what the fans are saying a player deemed the same level recently went for £4 million so that's what their fans are demanding - but as we know it doesn't always work like that
What's saying Barnsley F.C aren't going to shell out £4million? What is not going crazy when you're a billionaire? Whilst I don't think for one second Barnsley F.C are going to spend that much you have to factor in that even Patrick Cryne shelled out £999,000 on Mcgeehan, £600,000 on Mowatt, £950,000 on Thiam and £752,000 on Brad Potts which was in itself a jump on what was previously being spent. These owners are worth more and like it or not want to expand the profile of the club without going crazy. I'm happy to go along with that expect more than an apple, orange n' stick of coal which has in the past been the Barnsley way.
The Thiam number has seen be rebuffed as not true. Think we confirmed it at £300k with add ons? Our budget for the Summer is around the £4 million mark so unlikely we'll shell it out on one player as that leaves nothing for wages unless we're moving others out.
