Actually wouldn't mind Sunderland going up today after all. Northern club, working class, dedicated fanbase whatever league they're in. As for Bowyer, I find him a deplorable little man with an inflated ego and a heightened sense of self (did he play for Leeds?). C'mon the Marras!
Hope that Sunderland have a nice long six years in League One like the Blunts did. Guys on huge five figures a week wages failing to get out of the third division. I think Charlton will win as well. They have a lot of goals in them and play far less negatively. Plus after losing in the play offs last year they will be determined to not experience that again.
Charlton for me. Better team. Don't see many posts from SE London saying we don't deserve to go up, how are we behind f*** Barnsley, tin pot club etc.
Sunderland for me..will bring larger away following to Oakwell so more dosh for us and dunt like the trip darn sarff.... Also If we beat a club whos fans like the old " clubs like Barnsley" routine its all the sweeter....
Not keen on Bowyer but a lot of Sunderland fans have inflated ideas of their own importance. Plus their board will be in proper meltdown if they lose yet again! Either way I hope it's more enjoyable to watch than their semi final!
Charlton were on a roll towards the end of the season and I think they'll pip it. Sunderland had stuffing knocked out of them not getting automatic promotion. I predicted Tranmere , Charlton and Villa and I'm sticking by it
For selfish reasons, Sunderland for me. I would go to Sunderland away, but likely not Charlton as I am just not a fan of London away days. Also love the home atmosphere of playing a team who fill the North Stand, it seems to lift our own fans. But also, face to face, I have never met a bad Sunderland fan (I know some have, mind) so I don't judge them on a handful of teacakes so who post on their Internet forum. But, to be selfish, again, we're up, so whoever wishes to join us the most needs to show the desire to do so at Wembley...where Sunderland's record is shabby to say the least.
Not really bothered either way; I can see positives and negatives either way so based purely on their 46 game league campaign I'm going for Charlton.
Split 90/10 for me. Small part of me wants Sunderland to win for Spender, but I don't think any other clubs forum has been so condescending towards us this season, so I'm shouting for Charlton.
Sunderland for me ... despite the fact that Charlton is easy to get to (for me) and invariable they do reduced ticket prices for us for some reason. Just think Sunderland fans have suffered enough.
Said all along Charlton so sticking with it them. Let's see what another season does to Sunderland and their debts. Then they can come up.
I want a Charlton win as Sunderland fans are still deluded that they are a massive club and deserve to be top of the Premier league. Deluded fans and inflated egos so I hope for Sunderland to be in League One for another few years
