Don't mind it myself. Potts and Moncur definitely played a part in the season. Can't remember Bradshaw playing much but can remember the goal against Bradford. And although moncur has been a bit of a nobber with recent comments, glad we've not stooped to his level by purposively excluding him, despite match winning performances against Luton and Peterborough.

There is also another one that thanks Jackson,Walton and a few other players who haven't played as much but contributed when called upon which I thought was nice.
People spend days creaming over Conor getting promoted with villa and then find it odd we thank players for their contribution to our promotion.

Is that not a word? Thought it was a word. Maybe it's only really suitable at my work. Feel free to edit if it makes you happy.

Every day (or frequently anyway) they’ve been spotlighting a different player who helped us get promoted by showing a highlights video of them. They then did a joint video of players who didn’t feature as much and I’m guessing this might be the last one, showing players who were here at the beginning of the season but have since left.

I think it's an excellent video, along with all the others they've produced. It's only right, in my opinion, the club acknowledges & shows it's appreciation for the efforts every player has made to our promotion (for example, I believe Potts had a hugely positive contribution to the first half of our campaign).

Entirely your choice Mr Badger. Are we all sure "purposively" isn't a word though before making any rash decisions....

not according to the Cambridge English...
Any dictionary's that do list it?

there are suggestions for purposive (I didn't know was a word) and purposefully, which seems to be the correct word here.

edit - Collins gives it as an adverb, Oxford don't give a definition but point to purposive

My spellcheck is having a hissy fit - I reckon Susie Dent would allow it though - if it had fewer letters

I've never heard/seen purposively before. I have, however, heard/seen purposive. It's an adjective. So that means to me that if I add ly it can become an adverb. Not all adverbs end in ly, but this one seems to sound right when you do so.

Well Moncur certainly did contribute to our season played a fairly decent amount of minutes and was the best player in a couple of games. Bradshaw scored a important goal at Bradford and did us the great favour of leaving so we could get someone better in.

That's what I thought, but may be wrong. To be fair I probably should have just written "purposely".

Looks to me like purposively is an Americanization of purposive, you know, like they do with winning-ist. ffs.
