So the ever democratic and caring Dominic Raab has seriously suggesting shutting down parliament to force a policy through that has not the support of the majority of MP's or the country to "save" the Tory party

I hadnt realised Taking back control and getting our country back meant removing parliament from the decision process

The last person to Prorogue parliament for that reason was Charles 1 - err that went well
Id suggest to him that doing that will certainly destroy the Tory party as it used to be and anything left with be a fascist party under the Tory name - but he is probably too thick to see it

And if a Labour PM or PM candidate was proposing this, then the Daily Fail, Torygraph and Scum would be screaming blue murder.

Is it not enacting the views of the majority to leave the EU or did I miss something? You refer to the will of the people but that was the will of the people.

The very policy that MP's voted in parliament to carry out (80%) of them.

These people are the biggest traitors of the people .
They put public services up for their mates to pilfer and profit , they slice the NHS behind the scenes with the death of a thousand cuts .
They give tax cuts to their already ultra rich friends whilst we are deprived of decent services.
And all the while they get their slavering dogs in the media to decry Corbyn and it works on some .
    You couldn’t make it up

A majority of 3% isn’t the will of the people in anybody’s book.
It’s just a tired old clique used by people wanting to make the small majority look more emphatic.

So how else do you define a majority?

Depends on the size of the majority and this is certainly not the will of the people majority.

So you are saying a majority is less than the majority figure because of?

    Is 2 more than 1.

In a class of 11 pupils a majority of 6-5 to go on a outing is not the will of the class .

Morning Marlon, I have to disagree again but we should meet up before a match. I'll buy you a pint and laugh about being usually so far apart. The rules set were first past the post and more people voted for Brexit than have ever voted for anything else. I agree with your earlier post by the way, (except for Corbyn. I voted for him and have been very disappointed. ) lets get it over and done and start looking at the problems you talked about

But we live in a democracy! Can you please define your definition of a democracy?

Was it Raab who did not know Dover was a port.

For what its worth Brexit came about because of Ignorance over Expertise.

    Hi Darfield
Yes I might take you up on a pre match pint maybe an evening game when I don’t have grandkids .
Yes their were more votes ever casted in any other election or ballot but let’s not pretend they were all for Brexit . There was also a massive number for stay.
The rules were a majority but they were made by an imbecile imo who was more interested in healing his party than the good of the country.
I’d say with the controversy and the small majority that to just go ahead with Brexit regardless is Irresponsible especially when the consequences are unknown .
And I also don’t think Farage would have gone away if the results reversed .

Since the leave documentation very clearly said we were NOT voting for a no deal BREXIT.
Remember, getting a deal was going to be the easiest thing ever (even though it took Canada 15 years)
It would not democratic if we end up with no deal (which is looking increasingly likely)
If that is possible surely we need a FIRST democratic vote on no deal.

Out of interest, have you read the Referendum Act and what it says about the size of the majority required?
    Thought not.
