They probably find it amusing how quick some of our fans are to jump on absolutely everything that doesn't fit with their expectations.

Multiple threads all complaining that the owners are doing what they said they were going to do. You answer one and two more appear. It's like Zombie fecking Apocalypse.

In fairness, Nudge, yes, it has.
And we get our chance, on here, to put forward questions or suggestions at them too.
Just for example, I believe this fan zone, that is rumoured to be being built/assembled, in the East Stand car park, is a direct result of fans requesting it at these liaison meetings.
However, I don't think suggesting 'please don't sell our players' at such meetings would alter much.
We know the score with regards to being a self sufficiently run club.
I'd take what we have over Bolton's plight every day.

Does make we wonder why admin don't clamp down on multiple threads on the same subjects. Balls me off to be honest.

The expression "holding someone's feet to the fire" alludes to an element of compulsion, as in "us fans" are able to make the club do something.
Apart from not turning up to games and not committing finance, we are not.

We've had 4 since 2014. At least one of them used to post on here regularly with regards SLO business and meetings with the club (@Bondy) Applications for the role are open again now. Maybe you should apply?

    Here is some admin.

Where do you stand on multiple, redundant threads on the same subject created by one person?

    Just wondering.

Fans have numerous ways to relay their collective views apart from fans forums. The most obvious one is simply not to attend matches. Letters, demonstrations, returned season tickets, booing are others. I'm sure there are many more.

I tend to find setting my feet on fire gets the point across well.
Might try and organise a mass foot burning protest at first home match.
Not sure quite what there is to protest about mind, but I will have my Crocs soaked in petrol ready.

FAO YOUNG NUDGE. We have SLO’s( by the way you thought whitey was SLO. Then asked later what it stood for. o_O ) We also have supporters liaison meetings (Invitees.) And supporters trust meetings which you can join. Gally usually reports back when he can attend.

You would think that someone from the club would be courteous enough to provide an explanation to this latest sale and also the transfer strategy going forward.

First question they need to answer is - why is the transfer of Liam Lindsay, that has been described by the media as an ‘absolute steal’, any different to Patrick Crynes policy of short term contracts then sell them cheap?

That is to say - in what way has the transfer policy progressed since the new owners took over at the club?
Or is this latest transfer debacle a left over from the Patrick era?
But even then - surely the club should be able to squeeze more than £2 mil from the sale of such a well sought after player like Lindsay?

An explanation would be nice ?

The new owners have to realise that the biggest criticism that comes from football supporters (not Barnsley fans) living in the Barnsley District is that there isn’t enough effort made by Barnsley Football Club to keep the better players at the club.
I’ve heard this said to me countless times - ‘as soon as a footballer shows any promise at Barnsley he is sold straight away.

How do you want them to operate, as a business owner yourself? What are they doing that you would do differently? I see plenty of criticism but no solutions.

If I was one of the big wigs at Oakwell and I came on this forum, I'd click on the profile 'young nudger', I'd then go upto the top corner of the page and I'd click the mute button.

You can thank me later Mr. Lee! Oh, and thankyou very much for giving us proper fans a fantastic season last year.

    You reds.

If he goes for free next year we get nothing. We get anything above what we paid for him £350 000 we ve made a healthy profit. Allegedly he is refusing to talk new contract with the club therefore the sooner we can sell him the better. And personally I think it better that he is straight with the club rather than stringing them along.

If you knew how much they were you wouldn't.
Not a dig BTW, just a nod to those who do pay them as way of appreciation.

    Well, since you asked.
Firstly I would appoint someone at the club that can communicate effectively with the media who has the ability of wiping up a huge amount of interest in the club - at every opportunity.
For example - we have just signed an exciting young player from Derby for £1.2 MILLION.
What did we get - a photo of him holding a shirt up.
    Jeeezzzzz !!!!!
Football could be described as a part of SHOW BUSINESS.
The level of excitement coming from the club regarding the signing of this player was at a level you would expect with the changing of the curtains in the board room.

And when there is a sale of a player like Lindsay - there needs to be an explanation to the sale.
Which would put an end to most if not all of the speculation.

Not logged on this morning, whats this thread about?? Could it be locked or all his threads merged into one @Gally. When you log on and scan down the board it looks like were all ready to march against the board and slit our wrists.
