Huge lad. shocked we have gone for another keeper though after getting the young lad collins in but competition is always good i guess.
Wasn't rocket science that we would probably sign a huge keeper this summer. Old by our standards at 26 and Stendel knows him well. I doubt he's travelling abroad to sit on a bench when he's German top flight experience. Looks like this is our first choice keeper and Jack Walton is getting sent on a season long loan somewhere, for some much needed games after a few seasons on our bench.
@Stahlrost will be happy - only one more needed for our full set. Not sure where it leaves Walton though - will he be going out on Loan
26 isn't old for a keeper, they retain their value into their thirties. Like the quote from Conway, "This represents our 5th signing of the summer transfer window with more to come."
On TransferMarkt he was out of contract so looks like a free signing and looking at the end of the website article, it says he’s here for the 19/20 season so I’m assuming a 1 year deal ?
But his hands are very small! Those have to be the smallest gloves I have seen on a goalkeeper: thought there was a requirement for gloves the size of snow shovels on keepers these days.
Good stats with his loan in 17/18 season on loan at SK Brann in Norway. 33 appearances with 16 clean sheets and 32 conceded. Injured his knee in September so looks like he was recovering from that for the 18/19 season hence limited appearances of late.
Hannover 96 reserves play in the 4th tier of German football. His last loan spell was at Brann in 2017/18 and they didn't exercise the option to sign him permanently.
