If he came back, he would have more experience of the higher leagues than Dan.

Its o'right saying he's earned the right to have whoever he wants on his coaching staff, but would any manager/ head coach with a pair of ball's bring in a bloke who **** on him and the club, because if they do it once they will do it again.

Happy for him to come back - alongside Dale Tonge. Not as a replacement.

    In Stendel we trust.

We ought to do, given that Huddersfield is the home of Compo. Well, Holmfirth...

(Now wishing I knew how to post a picture of that old fella off Last Of The Summer Wine so folk understand my flippant, but tame, joke)

Just tried that. But got my saddlebags wedged in the fax machine.
Seriously, I am really struggling to embrace technology.
I actually thought my wife's hair straighteners were little individual fish finger cookers.

Well, I now have b0ll0cks like table tennis bats, but had a lovely fish finger sandwich for tea to soften the blow.
So, to answer - no and yes.

Like it matters. I'm a hopeless romantic. However, when all's said n' done. Winkler, Stendel, Stern or Tonge aren't kicking the ball about.

The players have the power to over rule the best masterminds in the game. (Chelsea/ Mourinho and Van Gaal Man Utd).

We can play fifa or LMA manager or sound off on message boards.

Win saturday and tuesday n' no one gives a monkies.

Winkler has not reported back for pre-season training apparently, so without giving a
specific reason for his no show, he's left Huddersfield by mutual agreement.
Sounds as though he could ŵell be back in Germany.

Touché, can't argue with that. Any positive development is welcome to me though, and extra backroom staff qualifies under that IMO

The best thing Winkler did for this club was leave, He left when everything was rosy (nobody can grudge going to the prem) however I’m over the moon with how Dale has come in and played a massive contributed to our promotion when things weren’t so easy.

To put it bluntly, he’s made his bed and we now have someone with a proven record. Dale is the man to take us forward, he assisted Daniel in the toughest times of last season and fully deserves the full time role. (Which I think he’s got).

    Tough one this

I thought Winkler spoke brilliantly and could see how he would be a positive influence

In that regard would like him back especially as Stendel wants a bigger coaching team - we should have a bigger squad.

However I could see how it could disrupt the balance and especially DT. As @JLWBigLil says if Stendel thinks it’s right then I would back his judgement

No we didn't. We were promoted with a game to spare and a record number of points.

At the time I thought Winkler was getting more of the credit because he was the mouthpiece. The fact we didnt suffer at all from him going and he was unable to get Huddersfield to even look like they had a win in them suggests he was very much no.2 and the passion, ideas and drive came from Daniel

Don't think Stendell is particularly bothered. Sure he said he was with Winkler the night we got promoted when the Sunderland and Portsmouth results our way.
