Both Lindsay and Pinnock were signed by a regime that made co ck-up after co ck-up when it came to contracts.
Chuffin Brentford? He's no ambition at all if he wants to go there. They're the smallest club in the Championship by far. No doubt they'll keep him for a year then sell him on for £10 .million. I hope we've got a 25% stake in any profit.
Might be a little dramatic to think but I think I really would you know. He's openly said in the media this week that we need to keep Ethan, hardly a show of commitment to him.
If we can't compete with Brentford paying wages then we all may as well head back to league one now. Next one to worry bout will be stendel the man as too much passion to see a team ripped to pieces just cos we not pay extra in wages to keep our better players.
We've recently replaced some superb centre backs, I would rather him stay but when it goes in the paper what we were offering him to stay they usually go
Brentford is back home for Ethan. I've said before I'd rather keep him till January but then I suppose with an injury you risk losing him for nothing still. if its 3 million though Brentford have got a bargain.
Gerrim teld ter fetch his own suitcase from Germany. If he'd stopped with us for a season in the Championship he could have gone straight to Arse for £25M and corresponding salary. Instead he opts for the nylons.
Oh come on, the owners have had no access to the players contracts in the last couple of years? Ps when I said I’d heard this the other week I got hounded. As I said then, our policy is clearly to blood young inexperienced players, losing a lot in the championship and getting relegated, use the experience to get promoted or high in L1, sell owt not nailed down rinse and repeat.
What you could do is refuse derisory offers. More than Brentford would be interested in Ethan Pinnock - and if they want him enough, pay a fair price. He’s worth £8-10 million in my view. With only twelve months left unfortunately you have to reduce that by 40-50%. But nothing less than £5million surely? He wouldn’t be worth much less than £3million in January with only six months left on his deal, so why sell? Just in case he gets injured? Come on. This transfer, if all the details are accurate, makes absolutely no sense. We can only hope that when it’s inevitably ‘undisclosed’, (but we have retained an interest in his future), Brentford do what stoke did and say exactly how much they’ve paid. I’m getting very disillusioned. Doesn’t bode well for Kieffer’s future either.
Can’t disagree with what you’ve put, but equally the fans were demanding to know what our policies towards transfers were, which they duly did. Damned if they do and damned if they don’t
We could keep him until January to give us a little bit of continuity in defence. I'm sure if he's doing well they're will be plenty of desperate clubs willing to pay 3m +
Really !?!?! I don’t !!! Proof is in the pudding. And Lindsay is the only example we have of a pudding.
If he was going to Leeds or Derby for 5 million I could understand, but 3 million to Brentford, back to being tinpot team who get bent over I see.
