We have to start buying bigger ticket players with a resale value, if we are to progress. It is a bigger risk though, if it is a long contract.
You're right John Peachy this fear of getting fingers burnt doesn't get you anywhere. Due dilligence is fair enough but there comes a time to move things up a notch.
You’d hope the confidence in our historical success of identifying the right people would be enough to want to step up. After all buying a player 5 & selling for 15 etc is where real money is
Yeah and the chance to showcase in arguably one of biggest leagues in world in terms of coverage and exposure
This has at 3.5, not got clue which is most accurate https://www.transfermarkt.com/moussa-kone/profil/spieler/364239
I think 3.5 / 4 million could be the price. There are sell ons & other stuff too when buying. I'm starting to think we may be showing some intent. Remains to be seen though. Me are obviously linked, so it's reasonable to say that this type of player could come to Oakwell at some stage. We've let some real quality go too.
I think the Chinese national team has started looking and 2nd generation Chinese to boost their performances. A couple of Brazilians have recently become nationalised and an Englishman (former Arsenal trainee made his debut recently).
Undisclosed fees are the best for everyone. Other clubs dont know what you've got to spend which means you dont get ripped off further down the line. Unless your Madrid, city, United etc etc I think it's the way business should be done.
Gunna keep it simple me and not ask about fees involved and just ask, what do you reckon the chances are of us getting him?
