I really think that the midfielders and goalkeeper who have left have peaked with us. You look back on how many names have gone to pastures new for the brass or whatever reason but never been able to replicate the form they had here.
Ok there is the other argument that others have gone and made real names for themselves but I will revisit this post after the season ends and see if I was just talking *****.

Conor has done all right for himself. Scowen continues as he was when he left us. Watkins is richer but has gone backwards in football terms. Too early to tell about Davies.

It's always a risky move from big fish in a medium sized pool to not so big in a much bigger one. However, the key point from the point of view of every single one of them that's left is that their bank account is a lot healthier. It's the primary reason why all of them move and who can blame them?

I have no real issues with players leaving, recruitment is key. My biggest concern is that we seem to be assembling a development squad to play in the championship. No matter how good individually these players are, what cost us last time was nous (lack of). Unless some experience and a leader is brought in, I can see us playing well but losing games

Think of defenders - Stones has done very well, as had Mawson till his injury. Roberts & Angus certainly haven’t- Bradshaw (though bad injury), Liam & Ethan appear to have traded like for like (as has Scowen, mentioned earlier) / Goldbourne didn’t do better in my opinion. I honestly think that some players “fit” with a particular club (& manager) - got us, Glavin, Banks, Redfearn, Ward, Hignett - also add (so far) Winnall! No doubt there’ll be more
