    Because he injured his eye at the end of the season so is only returning back to training/UK next week

    I thought I read weeks ago that his eye was better - Did I misremember that or was it posted on here but actually not correct? Has there been anything from the club?
    I know that he had a problem with it so if it is still not right it must be a concern - for him personally and also for the team as for sure he is our best LB at the moment

    I'm sure he came back and played towards the end of the season.

    I wonder if he maybe needed an operation so waited until the end of the season and is still on the mend?

    I've read somewhere from the club he had an eye operation yes. That's why he's not gone to Nice.

    I didn't see that coming. Puts his absence last season into perspective.

    In his absence Williams will be setting his sights on making the LB position his own this season. Although heard we're after a new LB on loan with a view to a permanent.
