Just looked at championship odds for 2019/2020 and shock horror we are favourites for relegation . Well no surprise there then. Still I hope that Daniel and the lads prove the bookies wrong. Just hope new additions to the squad gel with the players from last season (those that are left) and we have not shot ourselves in the foot yet again with the sale of Pinnock/Lindsay. Only time will tell.

We are fresh out of League One, have just sold the kernel of our best in division defence (and captain) and have a very young side for the Championship. In addition to that, our opening programme in August looks very difficult. Charlton and Luton at home look our best chance of gaining points in the first month, But Fulham at Oakwell and Wednesday, Birmingham and Wigan away are tough games.

Set against that, we know we have a manager of great capability and with good motivational skills, and a Board who underpin a very solvent club off the field - with the clout to shore things up in January if they choose to. I wouldn't care to back us for relegation at that price, but it's hard to argue with the bookies' assessment based on what is known at present. The biggest key to me is whether the new central defence gels. Beyond that, have we sufficient cover for injuries or suspensions up front, assuming Moore and Woodrow stay?

With our budget and current (untested) squad id say thats about right along with charlton. Think we might surprise a few people tho if the new defense clicks early....

What odds can you get for avoiding relegation?

    I’d bet on that.

Without looking I would say not very good as the odds on that never are. Probably 1/4 or something like that.
