I think we have done ok with him. Despite what some on here are saying.

Gotta add on your usual 50% vitriol from the opposing fans and 50% reduction in quality of the player the moment he leaves said club. Its just standard, we do it too.

I dunno. Several saying we've paid too much for him, but I don't think we'll have paid anything like the £1million being mentioned prior to his move.

I know a lot of Portsmouth fans, he couldn't get into their first team and was usually a benchwarmer. Then moves to Coventry which is probably step down from Portsmouth lets be honest here, and he doesn't set the world alight for them. Not saying it won't be a good signing or that he's not a good player, but he's not a proven player. I was hoping we would try and get Jamal Lowe.

Daniel clearly sees something special in him and I’m happy to go with that.

He does look small, but the videos I've seen he scores his fair share with his head.

    Edit - He's 5ft 5 apparently

The way we have tracked him over the last couple of seasons and now signed him says a lot about how good he may be. I think hell start as back up to Woodrow but get plenty of game time off the bench. The comments on twitter etc a lot are saying he is decent , a good signing.

I'd rather have a Neil Shipperley up front, someone who can hold on to the ball and bring players into the game, and take the pressure off our defence. I've seen it plenty of times where aimless balls up front just come straight back to us because our strikers didn't have physical presence.

That said, they must have a plan for him. He certainly looks mobile, pacey and skilful. Championship Eden Hazard? ;-)

He has scored a decent amount off the bench. I think with our pressing style he is the man to bring on with 20 mins to go & cover for injuries / suspensions. Some players are reliant on the style of play of the team & I'm hopeful we've got a good squad member here.

Shipperley was a terrific footballer, but i think this lad may be what we need in the squad pace wise.

Just to point out Chaplin's best moment, for us, so far, came last season when scoring the winner, for Coventry, in their 5-4 win at Sunderland.
Sunderland went on to crumble, we know what we went on to do.
So, for that alone, I welcome young Conor with open arms.

Lot seem to think there is definitely potential for him to be a good player if played in a two up front. Seems a lot of us lot who were expecting a pacey forward will be disappointed. Several comments on his lack of pace. Seems like more of a poacher.
