Choose the one you think more plausible for selling Moore 1. Final year of contract 2. To be nearer family 3.Need to perform at higher level 4. Chance to make piles of cash and buy young ,cheaper replacement (fans won't like it but as if their feelings have owt to do with it so use mushroom effect (keep em in the dark and feed them **** til the transfer goes through ) Which do you think is the reason...?
Barnsley fc now sweet shop for anyone with right cash, even those who we are direct competition with in the championship.?
They are privy to more than they are letting on... Danny boy won't be a happy bunny..no doubt. Keep this up BFC and it won't be long as he's through the door... This close season smacks of a certain January past... in more than one way..
There’s a sliding scale and no other club would so consistently rip its squad to pieces for consistently mundane fees.
7. We are tinpot and have no ambition and can’t compete with massive clubs like Wigan, Mansfield, Enfield etc
Come on shed you know how it works mate ,we don’t do bad as a club . The days of players stopping at one club are gone . Connor Hourihane was loved at this club and I’ve no doubt in my mind he loved this club but money talks , even for Barnsley lads n lasses
I'm sure some others do, doesn't make me any happier that we do mind. I share the frustration, I was curious to see how things would progress under the current ownership. So far little seems to have changed, I'm no longer surprised by the selling off of players though.
Newish owners but same philosophy as previous regime. Sell off the prize assets regardless of the consequences. Won't be surprised if it's auf weidersen soon from Daniel Stendel. History repeating itself again.
Didn’t Hourihane go for £4m? If so, that actually makes the Moore deal look great. Moore is no Hourihane and never will be. Not knocking him, just calling it as it is.
8. With the momey we recieve for Moore we can sign a better player than Moore now with a bigger resale value in the future. Simple as that.
I admire your optimism but it ain't gonna happen. If you could get a bether but cheaper and younger than Moore why do you think Wigan have bought him. C'mon get real.
Yeah agree but you can't help feeling disappointed at times.. The club tells you one thing then changes tact and does the opposite... I realised some years ago never to expect the obvious were BFC is concerned... Whilst they may have other replacements in the pipe line they do at times treat us like fools.the way they dress things up counter claiming then by doing the opposite asset strip of expertise .whilst still claiming deal is a good one that benefits the club but does it really .. We took the relegation on the chin went down to take stock rebuild come back stronger... Do we learn don't think we do in many sense... Nothing really changes... over the years... I remember only too well the denial and the lies told surrounding the Larry May transfer to Wednesday..as an example.. The club call it cards to chest time..denial . I just think they never learn... You can only rely on goodwill for so long... Personally I care more about DS and how he must feel seeing the experience slowly but surely being drained out of his team.. At what point does he decide no one is listening to him and chalks you know what on it... If I'm totally honest I don't think they are doing him any favors and are once again playing a very dangerous game..... That said I'm not going on any inside information I'm just going on observation and my gut feeling.... Plus our track record on these things... Just hope he doesn't leave... What with the Wednesday job only over the hill up for grabs...
I feel sorry for DS and Tongey. It makes his last interview look like a load of total tosh and him a reight fall guy. Our new CEO has done himself no favours in the fans eyes if this is the best he could come up with.
9) Maybe we are going to play only 1 up top with attacking wide players and Woodrow is the more natural finisher. 442 with wingers in this team would leave our full backs (which aren't our strongest position) vulnerable. Moore gets told he he isn't guaranteed to play every week - but he wants first team football. Wigan can offer him that, so player, club and manager decide to its best to let him go and be able to purchase another striker then have an unhappy player in the squad?
I concur with everything you’ve wrote there mate. That’s written by a vintage BFC fan and full respect . I know everything written by us fans whether we agree or not is for the good of the club in our hearts . As you know I’ve differing political arguments etc etc as I’ve also differing arguments in football but in every argument or differing of opinion we have only one goal to make it better for us all .weve all got differences of opinion and sometimes it’s hard to take but it’s what makes us tbh.
I was full of optimism after our last relegation to league1 that the new owners had learned a lesson and keeping the same squad for last season helped me keep faith in them However the loss of Pinnock, Lynsey,Davies and now Moore has put us back in exactly the same situation and probably with the same result. I just hope that Daniel Stendel doesn't do the same as Paul Heckingbottom and jump ship cos he realises he is fighting a losing battle. I hope that we use the money from Moore sale to shore up the weaknesses I'm sure DS has indentified but Ive not much faith in the board as I do the manager. Stendel's body language after the Fulham match will be a big indicator.Remember how Heckys attitude changed during the course of the relegation season. Then of course they appointed that clueless tw@t Morais -what an inspirational choice he was.
