    Just serves to emphasise the class " gap" between our league and the Premiership.
    Only consolation is that they are playing the team that quite a number of pundits
    are tipping to win the title this season.

    Have Norwich actually spent much money and strengthened at all from last season? I'm not so sure they have. On the other hand Villa have spent over £100m and Sheff Utd must have spent around £40m on new players.

    If they haven't then I can't see anyone else finishing below them tbh. I know the last couple of seasons they cut back considerably on transfer frees but you can't go up into the Premier League and hope to stay there with near enough the same team that won the championship title.
    I was hoping the blunts would finish bottom but they seem to have added a bit more quality with McBurnie and Jagielka will add plenty of experience at the back.

    I don’t think they have spent anything this window, or if they have it has been very little. It is going to be a very long season ahead, but the parachute payments should soften the blow o_O

    They shouldn’t worry too much. Liverpool & City are two of the greatest sides this countries seen.

    There’s 18 other teams for Norwich to have a proper go at getting points off

    They have spent 1.1 million only lowest of all Prem teams. Makes us look like big spenders.

    According to SSN and twitter Norwich have spent £1.1m.
    9 of the team tonight are making PL debut and were in their Championship winning team.

    I think had Norwich taken their opportunities in the first half and not panicked in key areas it could have been a different game.

    There's a massive gulf in class and it isn't just as simple as taking chances. It's decision making.

    Glad they've scored.

    I don't think it's a whole league thing, it's incremental

    Look at our game against Sheff Utd, they were clearly above Championship average as we were above L1 average.

    There isn't a dramatic difference between the leagues average, but there is a gulf between Man City and Brentford as there is between Leeds and Burton

    I'm pleased they've scored and I do hope they have a successful season and stay up but it's going to be bloody tough. Their form at Carrow Road will be key!
