I dont think he was outstanding .Just a bit of a Jim Dobbin Ray Mchale steady away graffter.
You always need one in your side.

    They lost 1-0 last weekend.

He scored in a draw they got against Stockport on Tuesday.

He didn’t have the ability to be a good player at this level Jim O’Brien, but he never lacked desire or effort. I’ll never knock anybody who does their best with what they have.

Other players from the same era had equal or less ability but lacked the effort to make up for it.

Bang on. Didn’t have anywhere near as much talent as 3 other lads we had at the same time in Mellis, McCourt & Cwyka but gave far more than any of them ever did.

Top lad Jim, worked his socks off for us and had some good games although he could often do something brilliant and something Shi.te in the next second. I really liked him.
