There's no real money in that which is why they've stated they don't intend to take any profit out from the sale of players - every penny earned is reinvested.

It's as simple as it can be - and the owners are on the record and as transparent as they can be.

The only ways for them to make money are:
rely on the stock of the championship to increase due to international interest (the nearest to a hidden agenda)
to increase the value of the club sufficiently to sell it on
    or to reach the premiership

You should have heard me playing the piano at my first lesson at 9 yrs old and then heard me 10 lessons on. They need to practice Dan's tactics to get better at it and what better game than one we were destined to lose. Having said that I think that the lack of inventiveness from our two midfielders didn't help.

On the plus side if we'd have gone and beat Wednesday with a superb performance the Owls might be ringing Conway on Monday for permission to talk with Daniel.

Stendel knows the transfer policy the club has and would’ve known that when he joined. This is not something that has been thrust on him out of nowhere, so if (and this is a very big if because I think people are making too much of this) he is moaning about it then he needs to get a grip and deal with it.

A couple of experienced players could make a huge difference to this side. That said they could do nothing to improve it as well.
Doesn't really matter either way, its not going to happen, its abundantly clear we are going to stick to the policy of young players we can make a profit on.
The worry is once again we find ourselves with almost a new team. Over half the team that started the first 2 games are new signings. It ultimately ended in relegation the last time we attempted this.
Yesterday was very reminiscent of Sheff utd away a couple of seasons ago. We nearly survived that year, it could be tight again this year. All down to how quickly and how many of these players make the step up to this level. This is the way are going to operate, personally I've just accepted it. One game was excellent one was poor, onto the next now.

Right I’ve heard it all now. Winkler and Stern speak perfectly good English and will have discussed at length with Stendel anything he didn’t understand himself from the interviews and various discussions he had with our owners.

So to insinuate Stendel came to the club not fully knowing what he was getting himself in for because of his inability to speak English at the time is moronic at best.

So not knowing who we were, our history, our recent past he instantly knew signing a single experienced player was out of bounds? And not having any vagaries of English let alone Americanisms. Yeah, good one

They interviewed him for a job - are you seriously suggesting that either side of that conversation wasn't aware what was happening?

Daniel was asked what strategy he would bring to the club .
The club signed him up on that strategy and he was aware of the clubs policy .
I don’t think Daniels making excuses just reiterating that Rome wasn’t built in a day .

He’ll know full well the way we work but like Hecky before him once a manager has some success it’s natural for him to expect a bit more of a say when it comes to transfers

We know our club policy from press releases and interviews. I took the post you're responding to as meaning Stendel wouldn't have read or listened to these due to his limited English at the time.

I didn't take it as meaning Stendel was unaware of anything said during negotiations. I don't believe any of us were privvy to those so we don't know what he was told.

Even if I go with the what has been released in the press, I don't remember us ever saying we won't sign experienced players. I know we're going to concentrate on youth and I'd be very surprised if we signed a 35 year old, but I was expecting two or three players in their mid twenties with some experience of championship football, who would still have a resale value should they play well. Particularly after the sales of both Lindsay and Pinnock. I thought some experience in the heart of the defence and maybe defensive midfield was essential. Yet we've gone with novices. From what I know that's not what Stendel signed up to, but as I say, I don't what he was told, just what we've been told, which isn't this.

The only thing moronic is to sign a team of 19 year olds and expect them to hit the ground running. Then expect the coach, who we all rave about, to sign a contract extension.

I find it amazing people are lauding a hedge fund.

Long live brexit, in the interests of he common man!

    Just beggars belief

Are you seriously saying he was under the expectation 19-21 year olds were the core focus of what he’d get to work with?
