Oakwell Lane after the match is awful with cars trying to get up/down and in that mix is the sheer number of fans walking up. Is there any thoughts about a temporary closure of the road for 20 mins after the match. Road closures seem to happen at other grounds without much problem.
The exact thought crosses my mind at Hillsborough on Saturday. If someone can get in with a flare then.....
On a similar note Belgrave road and Bala street should be closed to cars for 20 to 30 mins or so after a match. I can’t believe no ones been run over really
I hope the council think fk it, lets save money, knock the temporary bridge down and don't build the new one. Knock down the bus station bridge while we're at it. It would save sooo many complaints.
There have been a number of occasions in recent years where I've brought a sizeable holdall into Oakwell due to being on public transport but wanting to stay over in Barnsley. There have never been any questions asked about it by stewards, turnstile staff or police. I dread to think what someone with nefarious intentions could bring into a ground with thousands of people in close proximity.
I've never understood why people who live that way don't change their plans a little bit to avoid this. I'm not saying it's possible all the time, but it would be much easier for them. As for that tit going far too fast last week .... she ought to have have her license checked. She was going far too fast for the amount of people on the road.
I think the best way to deal with getting fans coming to home games on the train is to copy the Slovakia way.....
