I would like to see Green playing in the team or on the bench very fast and direct must be over his injury, hope he's fit for the next game.
I would like to see Wilkes played as a striker. I know it's not likely to happen as both strikers scored today, and he gets up and down and helps his full back, but his strength and willingness to take on defenders and have a shot make me think he's wasted in a wide position.
Yep. I know 'in Stendel we trust' an' all that, but just can't fathom why the right-back who was a part of such an exciting, successful team last season loses his place to an inexperienced newcomer at this level. Cavare & Pinillos (when fit) for me.
Keep same back 4 but swap Williams for Cavare, just to keep it fresh. Let the other 3 continue to bond and gel. I think it may come out that Williams is having treatment after one tackle he put in during second half. Manage his introduction. We definitely need pace and to hit Brum on the break.
We play high press.. which everyone and there mother knows... not sit back absorb pressure and hit on the break. We don't have the defensive or the defensive mid-field quality to play... hit on the break. If we sat back we'd lose by a bag full.
Id go same again if danny is not fit to play left back. How cav cant get in the team ill never know tbh. Maybe thiam on wing if thomas or wilks aren't 100%. Anyone kno how long mowatt is out for??
Stendel said on radio Sheffield after game mowatt has had another scan and he is a doubt for Tuesday but hopefully for next saturday. Hopefully jacob brown back soon aswell
We need to quickly start picking up points away from home. We can't rely on home form alone to stay in this division. Three points off top and three points off relegation. It depends if your glass of half full or half empty, but if we are mid table come April with a boring last month of the season where we can't go up or down I'll be delighted.
Williams just put in a man of the match performance you cant drop the lad for that. Would send out the wrong message in my opinion. I'd opt to rest Sibbick though, he's getting beat way too easily but it's no fault of his own. There's clearly a player there but its a massive step up for him and we've effectively thrown the kid in the deep end. I'd like to see Cavare start tomorrow in his place.
I'd keep the team same as Saturday. I'm hoping we can improve our midweek record, we seemed to save some of our worst performances for midweek last season (probably Rochdale aside)
https://www.smallheathalliance.com/read.php?1,2731385 Birmingham fans are generally complimentary and a lot expect us to beat them and call us a strong side. Nice to see so much praise.
Chris Stern comment in the Yorkshire Post seems to suggest Mowatt could be in the squad to face Birmingham tomorrow night.
I'd take what the lads say at press conferences regarding injuries as a pinch of salt, i think they use them as a way to keep the opposition manager guessing our team/tactics like with Woodrow or Moore last season.
Its all about opinions, but Cavare would only be in one of my teams teams as a last resort. He's a big strong lad but he lacks a football brain and a poor defender.
