    2 great opportunitys and he balls the pass up, easy ball to mowatt out of play and then one on the break straight to a brum player

    Given that so many on here rave about him I've tried to give him a fair crack of the whip despite his woeful finishing and watched him closely tonight to see if I can spot the 'technical genius' that others see but of ten touches he's given the ball away, passed it behind or passed it into touch on nine occasions.

    Sometimes I just think that any continental midfield player gets called good technically, even if they're not!!!

    What he brings as captain, I don't know, but I guess he follows the tradition of Davies of us having the quietest player on the pitch with the armband!

    Hope he gets a hat-trick in the second half, mind.

    Mowatt? Bahre rarely lasts the full 90 so why make him captain. I've never seen a supposedly creative player pass backwards as much as bahre last night.
