Caer Caernarfon is the 'Welshiest' town in Wales. The problem for the locals is that they dislike the amazing castle because it's a symbol of English Domination (Edward 1 etc.) Years ago many English people moved to Wales and made little effort to learn the language, they objected to their children learning Welsh in the schools etc.and there was a bit of bad feeling between the Welsh and the incomers. Now that has changed and most of the people who move in are willing to learn the language and there are many free courses available. My daughter's boyfriend - a Sheffielder born in Grenada always says he feels very much at home when he goes to Wales. I studied at Bangor and lived in Menai Bridge and walked over the spectacular bridge daily - I think about the Bridge every day! I guess the Gog's of Caernarfon would welcome you with open arms and you'd soon be a Cofi.
