A doubt they would do that. If they did get them to ffff...they are lucky to be earning a wage let alone demanding. I see your point as it happens to all the massive clubs
Richard i'm concerned, you said a bit ago you rarely post on here because you in your own words "have a life" What's happened to change that? Is everything okay at home? p.s anything to fetch this absolutely sterling fiction back..
Only know off reports on here and other places. Several sources had us trying to make Ethan Pinnock our best paid player at 10k a week so that would be the top bracket of the wage structure.
Let's face it, players available now are either crap or are holding out for big wages. I would be surprised if we sign anyone else before January now.
Players are free at this point for a reason. There are 92 league clubs in England (and wales) and none have so far either taken a punt or agreed terms with anyone that is as yet unsigned. Also factor in Professional clubs in the National League then every other top division in Europe, plus US, China and Australia who are all throwing money about yet still some remain undesirable or unobtainable. It’s not just about offer someone ‘x’ and they’ll definitely join, you’ve got relocation, families, contract duration, squad unrest, injuries, fitness, agents fees and a whole myriad of other potential problems when signing a player. A lot of people see football transfers as simplistic tradings, it’s anything but.
Just had a quick gander now. Danny Williams, ex Huddersfield and reading defensive mid - 30 years old, would be great and will Buckley - right winger - tore us apart for Bolton season before last - age 29 There’s players out there and I don’t reckon they’d want that much in terms of wages
Exactly..... if we have to pay for 12 months, so be it!? We’re not then setting the youngsters with potential who we’ve signed up to fail.....they could play in a decent side, giving them the best chance to succeed.
Is that how you’d approach the situation in your firms Rich? I’d have thought a man of your stature and wealth would be doing better things on a sunny bank holiday Sunday rather then posting on an Internet forum.
Stop arguing we all have different views. I think we should meet in che bar and do cha cha slide together
I think we should be looking to see if anyone is available. Williams and Buckley mentioned above.. why not take a look? We're short on experience, and they could do a job. Hammill was on a free a few year back and he changed our season. Never rule them out.
Look at Sunderland signing left back Joel Lynch on a 12 month contract. He's played well over 200 games at Championship level, as recently as last season. Would have been a good freebie him.
Our model “will” get us relegated?? Can you also tell what lottery numbers “will” turn up on Wednesday You can’t. So please, stop saying what will happen. You don’t know.
