Poor Boris

Friendless this afternoon in the House. Theresa May was sat next to Ken Clarke - will she therefore be voting with the rebels tonight? If so, will Boris sack her too?

 

‘No deal is better than a bad deal’ was one of her tedious mantras, so I’m almost certain she’ll be giving the lying, self-serving cu.nt her vote.

If anyone is daft enough to vote Labour, Lib Dem or Conservative again in their lifetime after the absolute **** show of the past 3 years then you need to take a serious look at yourself.

Only one thing everyone of them tossers think about and its certainly not me and you or the constituents they supposedly represent.

The whole political system of this country is broke. The political elite well and truly know they are elite we the people mean nothing.

Absolutely furious today as you may gather...

Who can I vote for? Everyones as uninspiring as the next. In other words I have absolutely no idea

 

I went to a garage.
I said to the garage owner - that’s a nice car I’ll give you £5000 for it.
The garage owner said - yes it’s worth £5000 but I want you to give me £10,000 for it.
I said - no chance.
He just said - give me £10,000 now because as you know you have decided to take NO DEAL off the table so I can ask whatever price I want for it.
I said - ok then.

They’re not there to do what you believe they should - they’re there to try their best to run the country.

Whether you and I agree with their assessment, most of them are trying to do what they believe to be ‘right’.

 

REALLY. I can even see a lot of Tories (definitely not my party), who are putting their constituents in front of their career.

You missed where we’d asked for the one with the red lines down the side, and as that was a special edition it meant we would never get the special offers available.

But we demanded the lines anyway even though it meant we’d never get a good deal.

 

Unfortunately as the deal was **** the wheels fell off as soon as you tried to drive it off the forecourt

 

Treating your pretend outrage seriously, just for a moment, you must see that Parliament faithfully represents the split over this issue in the public at large. Small wonder then that it is proving difficult to resolve Brexit. It would be totally wrong for the final outcome, whatever it may be, not being achieved by something of a compromise. That will only be achieved when both sides lay down a little of their absolutism.

 

Ridiculous. Too many times I try to stay out of this, but too many times I get drawn back in.

Last one on this thread, but no deal is of no benefit to both parties. And you can shout all you want, Europe would prefer a deal. We would also prefer a deal.

Too many people on here see the EU as some shining star of friendliness and sharing. They are not... and neither are we. The EU are well within their rights to push for their own best outcome. As are we.

It is clear that it has taken the buffoon to actually start making proper negotiations. Or at least to put forward that we can at least have a credible backwards and forwards of negotiation. For the last few years, we have had nothing but infighting and people scuppering talks... from both sides of the argument.

Yes, the EU are on a strong footing, but we don’t have to just take what they offer. And if what they offer isn’t good enough, we need to be able to reject it. Whilst again many on here believe The EU will be stronger and better without us, they won’t. They also will not want a no deal, as that will have a bigger impact on them too

If the EU wants the least impact upon them, they may have to concede some of their demands. Or they may just take the jump into their abyss, or pull the gun to their own head.

 

That’s the good old bulldog spirit that we needed in the world wars.

I was confused until I realised he’s changed his profile photo and noticed the username.

 

Thing is ........ some of us are old enough to remember when we weren’t a colony of Europe.
They can’t remember when we were an independent country.
Of course things weren’t as good as they are now - but there isn’t any developed country that hasnt moved forward.

Britain has too important a history - it is seen as too important to the free world to become homogenised into Europe - a Europe that has no leader or direction.

As European countries move closer together - Britain has to remain independent and a beacon to the world.
