As a parent of two kids with epilepsy, I was grateful & humbled by the charity work Gus did to help fight that illness. What a terrible injustice that he should be hit with that ******* disease. Rooting for you, pal.

    Awful news.

He’s had no luck whatsoever with his health, and for what he’s achieved in life considering is bloody inspiring.

Get well soon Angus. Always have a place in my heart for that goal against that club in the last min.

Once a red and all that.

Bloody hell, this guy has had alot of health issues, poor bloke.
Blood clot on lung, Stomach problems, deep vein thrombosis, now this.
Hopefully he'll be strong enough to knock this one back as well. Good luck to him.

totally agree with your sentiment but to talk about someone 'being strong enough to knock this back' or to 'fight it' or 'beat' it as others have said is wrong as it implies that an individual is somehow personally responsible for the outcome of this appalling disease. They're not!

All the best Angus, this is terrible news. However, I suspect it may be the answer that connects all of the other health problems he's had - iron deficiency, blood clots can all be explained from cancerous changes in the bowel etc - so let's be optimistic for a full recovery and a return to football. Although a full recovery alone would be sufficient.

Bloody hell he's a bit young to have bowel cancer. I hope he beats this curse of cancer some of us have.

Now then lads how many of you have had a PSA check for Prostate Cancer? If you are over 50 get a check.

Luckily I haven't been but I know it would annoy me. I think people really mean to support though, when you're going through horrendous treatment

For once, a post which unites us all; so sad that it took a debilitating and potentially life-threatening illness to do so. Cancer is a horrible illness that I personally have close experience of, so all the best Goose - all our thoughts are with you.

Really feel for the lad, had loads of health issues, just about back to full fitness, in a new relationship & then this happens. No luck at all

    thanks Helen.
To say you're sorry to hear someone's bad news and offer to help if needed is enough.

Yes indeed. That test almost certainly saved the life of my father in law.
