    What did Nudger say - we would be lucky to get a point today. They have a good experienced team compared to us. We have to hope as the season go's on we can improve week on week. Did quite well today considering 33% to 67%.

    No he's not. We've had a few poor performances this season. Today wasn't one of them. Criticism only has value if correctly directed. The vast majority of players who represented Barnsley today gave their all, performed well and do not deserve criticism.

    Effort was clearly there today which is all we can ask for. Unfortunately the lads we’ve brought in just aren’t good enough, that’s not their fault.

    But we battle like that every game we will be alright and I’ll have no complaints, all I ask from my team is effort and they’ve given me that today. Unlucky lads. I think the blame lies upstairs.

    As I say the effort was there but simply not good enough. A squad worse than last season we would struggle in league 1 to get top 12
