https://www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd?team_id=378&teamTabs=results Ethan Pinnock has been a unused sub in their last three games and they have kept two clean sheets in that run without him, so I don't expect him to play against us. Despite our form so far I am very confident we will win on Sunday. They won't bring many fans and I don't think the Brentford players will be pumped for a Sunday up north. We've only played two sides in the bottom half so far and had a tough start to the season against clubs expected to challenge for promotion like Fulham, Leeds and Forest. When we lose it's only by a goal or two and we've had fourteen shots on target in the last three games, although obviously we have to start taking them. The time to worry would be if we were losing three or four nill to teams near us in the league and without creating.
Barnsley are 3/1 with Bet365, which represents a 25% chance of winning. Brentford are 1/1 (50%) and the draw is 2.6/1 (28%).
Yep - the 3% or "over-round" is the bookies' theoretical profit margin on the race. For every £103 they take on the race they return £100 to the punters. It shows you how hard it is for bettors to make money on the footy when the bookies are confident enough to operate to such a slim profit margin.
So does that suggest Pinnock is a top League One player at best too then? I really doubt we would be any better off even if Pinnock & Lindsay had stayed, neither doing anything much.
We'll never know, I would like to think having a central defensive partnership that had played a whole year together would help. That said our problems have very much been at the other end.
I think he would get straight in at center back if he were still here and I like diaby and I think halme is a promising player. Having said that our problems are at the other end we don't score enough.
I'd say our goal scoring problems out weight our defensive ones, we haven't scored a goal away from home, the last 2 games if we manage a goal against forest were good for a point, leeds if we scored one of the chances when we were on top it's a different game.
